2018 Toyota Yaris Officially Revealed at Auto Expo 2018; India Launch Soon
The newly unveiled Toyota Vios is basically toned down version of global spec Toyota Yaris Ativ which is expected to launch in India soon.

Toyota Kirloskar Motors today officially took wraps off the upcoming Toyota Yaris Ativ at the ongoing 14th edition of Indian Auto Expo. The Japanese car maker released a teaser of the sedan confirming its arrival at the motor show. Also, the new Yaris 2018 was spied testing on the Indian roads ahead of its India debut. Expected to launch in India soon, the new Toyota Vios will heat up the B-segment sedan space by competing against the likes of Honda City and Maruti Ciaz. The new Toyota Yaris Ativ sports new projector headlights with integrated LED light guides, LED DRLs, shark fin antenna, new 16-inch alloy wheels, LED Tail lamps and more. In terms of proportion, the new Toyota Yaris gets length of 4425mm, width of 1730 and height of 1475mm along with wheelbase of 2550mm. The sedan gets ground clearance of 133mm. Talking about the powerhouse options, the Yaris 2018 is available in both petrol and diesel avatars. The petrol mill is a 1.5-litre Dual VVT-i unit that can easily produce maximum power of 105 bhp and 140 Nm of peak torque. Transmission duties are carried out by 5-speed manual and CVT gearbox. In the Thailand market, the sedan is powered by a 1.2-litre Dual VVT-i petrol mill capable of producing 86 PS/108 Nm of power figure. The all-new 2018 Toyota Yaris sports dual tone interior with all-black dashboard layout that gives a premium altogether. Feature wise, the sedan comes loaded with features like automatic climate control, touchscreen infotainment system and reverse parking camera, key-less entry, engine start/stop button, rear armrest, rear AC vents and more. Having said that the new Toyota Yaris 2018 will reach the domestic shores by April 2018, the sedan is expected to see a competitive price tag. We speculate that the sedan could be priced in the bracket of INR 8 lakh to 13 lakh (ex-showroom) which will rival against the Maruti Ciaz, Honda City, Volkswagen Vento, Hyundai Verna and the likes.
