Auto Expo 2018: Kia Stinger India Debut Confirmed; Price in India, Launch Date, Interior, Specs, Features
Kia Motors will be showcasing new SP Concept SUV, Stinger sportback and EV concepts at the upcoming Auto Expo 2018.

Kia Motors recently confirmed its participation at the upcoming Auto Expo 2018 which is scheduled to commence from February 9 to 14, 2018. The South Korean automaker has recently revealed SP Concept which will be making its public debut at the biennial motor show. The car maker will also be showcasing 15 more products which include Kia Stinger sportback, new EVs and others. The sportback that made its global debut previously at NAIAS 2017 is now all set to make its Indian debut at the Kia stand in Hall 7 of the Auto Expo. Dimensionally, the upcoming Stinger Sportback measures 4830mm in length, 1870mm in width and 1400 mm in height along with wheelbase of 2905mm. The new Kia Stinger will be playing an essential role in replicating Kia’s global success in the domestic market which is believed as the fastest growing car market in the world. If launched in the domestic market, the Kia Stinger sports sedan will be the flagship model in Kia’s lineup for the Indian market.
The new Stinger sports sedan will sport Kia’s hallmark ‘tiger-nose’ grille, LED headlights with LED DRLs, LED tail lights, quad exhaust, 19-inch alloy wheels and much more. Inside the cabin, the Stinger sportback will sport premium cabin space with leather upholstery along with hi-tech features like 7-inch driver information display, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, customisable head-up display, 15-speaker audio system with subwoofer, front centre speaker and much more. In the global market, the sportback is offered in 3 engine options – a 2.0-litre T-GDI turbocharged petrol, a 2.2-litre VGT turbocharged diesel and a 3.3-litre T-GDI twin-turbo V6 petrol which are capable of producing 255PS/353Nm, 200PS/440Nm and 370PS/510Nm respectively. The transmission duties are carried out by 8-speed automatic as standard. However, there is no official detail regarding the powertrain options for the India-spec model. More details about the sports sedan will be revealed at the motor show next month.
