New Hyundai i20 Elite 2018 with new colour spied; India Launch Tomorrow at Auto Expo 2018

The new Hyundai i20 Elite 2018 facelift will heat up the segment as it will be pitted against the likes of Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Honda Jazz, Ford Figo and others.

Hyundai India has confirmed the launch of new Elite i20 facelift at the Auto Expo 2018 which has been spied previously. Yet again, new spy shots of the premium hatchback have surface online featuring new flame orange shade ahead of its India launch tomorrow. Going by the spy shot, the shade seems to be the same as seen on the new 2017 Verna. The new i20 will sport cosmetic updates inside out along with new transmission unit. Once launched in the domestic car market, the new Hyundai Elite i20 facelift will compete with Maruti Baleno, Honda Jazz, Ford Figo, Toyota Liva and others. On the exterior front, the new Hyundai Elite i20 will now feature Cascading grille upfront which will be in-line with Korean’s automaker Fluidic Design philosophy 2.0. However, the headlamp cluster remains the same but adopts signature style design elements. The front profile gets new fog lamps, restyled bumpers, new alloy wheels, redesigned tail lamps, a revamped tailgate and more. Moreover, the license plate has been shifted upwards from bumper to tailgate. On the inside, the facelifted avatar of the premium hatchback is expected to carry minor changes while the overall design and appeal remaining the same. Under the hood, the new Hyundai Elite i20 is currently available in 3 engine options – 1.2-litre petrol, 1.4-litre petrol and 1.4litre diesel. However, the new Elite i20 will not be seen in 1.4-litre petrol unit mated to 4-speed automatic transmission. However, it will continue to be seen in 1.2-litre petrol that will be mated to 5-speed manual and CVT gearbox while the diesel unit will be coupled to a 6-speed automatic transmission. The facelited version of Elite i20 is expected to be premium in terms of pricing which could be priced in the range of INR 5.75 lakh to INR 9.5 lakh (ex-showroom).
