Tata X451 Premium Hatchback India Unveil Tomorrow; Expected Price, Launch Date, Specs, Features, Images
Tata X451 will be a premium offering from Tata Motors which will be pitted against segment leaders like Maruti Suzuki Baleno and Hyundai Elite i20.
Tata Motors is all set to reveal the much awaited X451 premium hatchback in the country tomorrow at the Auto Expo 2018. The home-grown automaker will also be showcasing the new H5 SUV, Tigor Sport, CVs and bunch of EVs as well at this year’s biennial motor show. Talking about the new upcoming Maruti Suzuki Baleno rival, the premium hatchback is definitely one of the most anticipated cars for the year 2018. On the exterior front, the Tata X451 hatchback is expected to borrow its design cues with the bigger Tata Nexon which could sport dual-tone paint scheme, humanity line grille, LED headlamps with DRLs (daytime running lights), new alloy wheels, white ceramic strip on the shoulder line, LED taillights and much more. Also, the company has teased the hatchback many times ahead of its India debut. The new X451 will be the first model to debut with Tata’s Impact design philosophy 2.0 and will be based on AMP which is advanced Modular Platform architecture. Under the hood, the hatchback is speculated to be offered in both petrol and diesel iterations wherein the petrol could be a Nexon sourced 1.2-litre turbocharged Revotron petrol and 1.5-litre turbocharged Revotorq diesel. The former will be de-tuned to make 90 bhp of max power with peak torque of 140Nm while the latter will develop 90 bhp and 200Nm of power figures. Once launched, the new Tata X451 will lock horns against the likes of Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Honda Jazz, Hyundai Elite i20, Volkswagen Polo and others in the premium hatchback space. Lastly, coming to the price point, the newest entrant in the premium hatchback segment under Tata’s stable is expected to get a competitive price tag. We speculate that it could be priced in the range of 5 lakh to 7.5 lakh (ex-showroom).
