Delhi Assembly Elections Result 2025: The Babarpur Assembly constituency is one of the 70 assembly constituencies of Delhi, and part of the North East Delhi Lok Sabha constituency. Currently, Babarpur is represented by Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) minister Gopal Rai, who has won the seat twice (2015 and 2020), since the AAP rose to power in 2015. In 2020 assembly polls, Gopal Rai retained the Babarpur seat by defeating BJP’s Naresh Gaur by a margin of 33062 votes. However, the BJP emerged victorious in the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections, when the saffron party’s Harsh Malhotra won the East Delhi Lok Sabha (MP) seat by a margin of 93663 votes, defeating AAP’s Kuldeep Kumar.In Delhi Assembly Elections 2025, the BJP has fielded Anil Vashishth against incumbent AAP MLA Gopal Rai and Congress candidate Haji Mohd Ishraq Khan. Voting for the Babarpur Assembly Constituency took place on February 5 along with the 69 other assembly constituencies in Delhi, and counting of votes will begin at 8 AM today (February 8, 2025).
