After a rigorous phase of voting in Bihar and an exceptionally high voter turnout, the counting for the Bihar Assembly elections is set to begin at 8:00 am today (November 14, 2025). Counting will take place for 243 seats in the state, with 123 seats required to form the government. The fate of 2,616 contestants will be decided today.
The second phase of polling in Bihar recorded a voter turnout of 68.76 per cent — the highest in the state’s electoral history.

Bihar Assembly Election: According to the early trends released by the Election Commission, the NDA has taken the lead on 19 seats, with the BJP ahead on 11, JD(U) on 5 and LJP(RV) on 3, while the Mahagathbandhan is currently leading on 4 seats, split between Congress (2) and the RJD (2). Counting is still in progress.

Bihar Assembly Election Results 2025 LIVE: As per the early trends, the NDA has surged ahead with leads on over 100 seats, while the Mahagathbandhan is trailing behind with around 50–60 seats so far.
