New Delhi: A fire broke out in a coach of Darbhanga-New Delhi Bihar Sampark Kranti Superfast Express in Darbhanga district of Bihar on late Wednesday. Fire-fighting operations are underway.
So far, no casualties have been reported. The Railway authorities were immediately alerted about the incident, the exact cause of which is yet to be ascertained.
Meanwhile, the Chief Public Relations Officer of East Central Railway said, “Fire in S6 coach of the train was reported at around 8 PM, it was doused at 10:55 PM. Prima facie cause of fire appears to be miscreant activity. A probe at Joint-Secretary level has been ordered to ascertain the cause of fire.”
In yet another incident on the same day, two men were killed after a fire broke out at a warehouse in southwest Delhi’s Samalka Village on Wednesday, police said. The victims, identified as Bhagwati Prasad (55) and Umesh (29), were sleeping in a room inside the warehouse when the incident happened. Two trucks and one car were also gutted in the fire, added the police.
