New Delhi, Aug 3 (PTI) German luxury carmaker BMW today launched its new BMW 320d Edition Sport priced at Rs 38.6 lakh (ex-showroom), expanding its 3 Series model portfolio.

The new car, which will be locally assembled at the company’s plant at Chennai, is powered by a ‘TwinPower Turbo’ diesel engine producing an output of 190 hp with a top speed of of 250 km/hr, BMW India said in a statement.

“With the launch of the new BMW 320d Edition Sport, we go a step further in presenting a well-balanced portfolio of the BMW 3 Series,” BMW Group India President Vikram Pawah said.

The model is equipped with safety features such as six air bags, anti-lock braking system (ABS) with brake assist, dynamic stability control (DSC) and side-impact protection, among others.

It also has ISOFIX child seat mounting, runflat tyres (RFT) with reinforced sidewalls and electronic vehicle immobiliser and crash sensor, the company added.
