Viral Fever Scare in UP’s Firozabad: Central Team Says Majority Cases of Dengue, Some Scrub Typhus
A central team that was sent to Firozabad in Uttar Pradesh to investigate the cause of a fever outbreak and deaths among children has observed that the majority of cases are of dengue and a few are of scrub typhus and leptospirosis. Firozabad district has recorded 51 deaths, mostly of children, and hundreds of hospitalisations in over a fortnight and the viral fever has now spread to neighbouring Mathura and Mainpuri districts. No Governing Structure in Kabul Yet: Russian Ambassador to India
“Recognition (of govt in Afghanistan) is too early to say. Is any govt or any governing structure officially available in Kabul now? Not yet. It is admitted by Afghans themselves. After decades of war, it hasn’t come as a surprise to us,” says Russian Ambassador to India Nikolay Kudashev in an interview to ANI.
“The country & people need time to introspect. Give them some time & a ray of hope. It’s early to say if there is complete understanding. Let us bring them onboard talk to them bring our ideas closer to them…I’m optimistic about it. Let’s offer promising solutions than terrorists do. If you want to offer income sources, let’s offer development programs. There’re multiple platforms to unite our forces. Let’s look for creative solutions,” he says.
