Earthquake measuring 4 hits Kutch in Gujarat, no news of any damage or loss of life

The earthquake created panic among the people.

New Delhi: Kutch in Gujarat was shaken by earthquake on Sunday, 20 July 2025, late evening at around 9:45 PM. The intensity of the earthquake has been estimated at 4.0 on the Richter Scale. The epicentre of the earthquake was Latitude: 23.732 Longitude: 69.879, Area: Khavda, 20 km east south east of Kutch.

Seismological Research Institute, Gandhinagar has confirmed this. As soon as the earthquake was detected, people panicked and started running out of their houses.

There is no news of any kind of damage at the moment.
