New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached Amman, the capital of the Arab nation, Jordan. He was received by the Prime Minister of Jordan, Jafar Hassan.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi departed for Jordan on the morning of Monday, 15 December 2025. India and Jordan share a long-standing relationship. Among other issues, it is believed that a defense deal, along with other important agreements, may be signed during this visit.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a grand welcome upon his arrival in Amman, the capital of Jordan. He was greeted at the airport by Jordanian Prime Minister Jaafar Hassan. This visit by Prime Minister Modi comes at a time of increased geopolitical instability globally. Through this tour, India aims to further strengthen political, economic, and diplomatic cooperation with its trusted partners. Significantly, this will be PM Modi’s first full bilateral visit to Jordan and Ethiopia, while it is his second visit to Oman.

He will be in Jordan on December 15 and 16. During this time, he will hold discussions with Jordanian King Abdullah on India-Jordan relations. This is a historic visit, as it marks the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between India and Jordan.
