Breaking: A day ahead of the Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s two-day visit to poll-bound West Bengal, the news of Tapasi Mondal, CPI-M MLA from Haldia quitting party has come. Tapasi Mondal’s resignation from the party has come at a time when the ruling Trinamool Congress Party (TMC) is also battling mass rebellion within its rank, starting from the resignation of minister Suvendu Adhikari. Tapasi Mondal currently represents Haldia constituency in Bengal, a region where Suvendu Adhikari holds substantial clout. The political atmosphere in the State is abuzz with news that both Suvendu Adhikari and Tapasi Mondal are set to join the BJP in presence of Amit Shah. Shah will start his trip with a visit to Ramakrishna Mission Ashram on Saturday.
