Mumbai, Dec 7: A massive fire broke out on Monday in a godown in Mumbai’s Kandivali (E) area. Multiple explosions were also heard after the fire. 16 fire tenders have rushed to the spot. As per TV channel reports, gas cylinders were stored in the godown and explosion in one of the cylinders triggered the series of explosions and massive fire. No casualty has been reported so far.
Massive plumes of smoke have been blowing out of the building. Since the godown is located in a congested colony, fire tenders would find difficult to reach to the spot. “We heard a loud blast around 12:45 pm and then 15-20 explosions one after the other,” a resident from a nearby area told NDTV.
