Mumbai, Feb 27: Western Railways are operating a Jumbo block between the Santa Cruz and Goregaon train stations on Sunday, to carry out maintenance work on tracks, signalling and overhear equipments. The block operate between the two stations from 10.30 am to 3 pm in the evening, on Up Slow Line and Down Fast Line. This block will operate on a day when all the three railways- Western, Central and Harbour- usually operate a blcok on their lines, to undertake maintenance and repair work.
During the block, all Down fast line trains will run on Down Slow Local line between Santacruz & Goregaon stations and Up slow line trains will run on UP Fast line between Goregaon and Santacruz stations and will take double halt at Vile Parle station. Due to this block all fast trains from 10:15 am to 4 pm in down direction and from 09:56 am to 4 pm in up direction, will halt at all stations between Andheri and Borivali.The clock is also expected to affect the national and mail trains and they are expected to be delayed by some amount of time. All the suburban and Mail/Express trains will be delayed by 10 to 15 minutes during the block period. All Up 12-car slow locals will take double halt on PF No.4 at Vile Parle station on the fast corridor. Due to the block, some up and down local trains will also remain cancelled, the list of which will be available at all stations with Station Masters. A notice issued by the Railways has requested the passengers to take note of the aboev arrangements and make travel plans accordingly.
