Mumbai, April 8: Regional political outfit Shiv Sena has launched free internet WiFi services for residents of Mumbai. Eight spots in the populous region of South Mumbai have been installed with WiFi hotspots. They would not be encrypted with secure passwords. City dwellers could readily avail the benefits of the free internet service. The charges for the same would be paid from Shiv Sena party fund.
Shiv Sena’s youth brigade chief, Aditya Thackeray inaugurated the WiFi services on Friday, on the occassion of Gudi Padwa. The free internet would be available at junctures of Govinda Mandir, Khetwadi Galli No. 6, Magistrate Cinema, Girgaon Krantinagar, Chirabazar, Modi Street, Colaba Market and Machimar Nagar in Colaba. “Inaugurated free for all internet wifi spots in South Mumbai today, on behalf of Yuva Sena,” the fourth generation Thackeray clan leader said.
