Delhi metro news: In a matter of good news for Delhi NCR, the government has given a major Christmas and New Year’s gift. In order to boost public transport amid growing congestion in Delhi, four lines of the Delhi Metro’s fourth phase may be approved today. In the recent development, the Union Cabinet gave the green light to four lines for the fourth phase of the Delhi Metro. Here are all the details you need to know about the new project details of Delhi Metro’s fourth phase.
According to the new plan, the Delhi Metro will be expanded at a cost of approximately Rs 12,000 crore. Chaired by PM Modi at 11 am, the cabinet meeting decided to give the good news for Delhi NCR residents ahead of new year.
As per a report carried by IANS news agency, three new corridors include R.K Ashram Marg to Indraprastha (9.913 Kms), Aerocity to IGD Airport T-1 (2.263 kms) and Tughlakabad to Kalindi Kunj (3.9 kms) as part of Delhi Metro’s Phase–V(A) project comprising 16.076 kms which will further enhance connectivity within the national capital.
The Central Vista corridor will provide connectivity to all the Kartavya Bhawans, thereby providing door step connectivity to the office goers and visitors in this area. With this connectivity around 60,000 office goers and 2 lakh visitors will benefit on a daily basis. These corridors will further reduce pollution and usage of fossil fuels enhancing ease of living.
