Delhi Metro’s Blue Line Affected due to Signalling issues
Earlier in the morning, services of Violet Line were severely hit due to a major signalling glitch. Services, for a while, slowed down between Faridabad and Kashmere Gate as trains were not in touch with the control centre.
New Delhi, June 30: Delhi Metro’s blue line services have been facing delays due to signalling problems. 44 stations fall under the blue line from Sector 21 Dwarka to Noida City Centre. It covers a length of 50 km and Metro employees are trying to restore the services. More details are awaited.
On June 22, in rush hours passengers had a hard time as the movement of trains had to be slowed down due to maintenance work. Passengers, as per Hindustan Times, complained that trains were taking up to 10 minutes to reach a station, whereas it hardly took 2 minutes.
Earlier in the morning, services of Violet Line were severely hit due to a major signalling glitch. Services, for a while, slowed down between Faridabad and Kashmere Gate as trains were not in touch with the control centre. As the entralised control mechanism snapped, the trains had to operated manually from each station between 8 to 9 am, which apparently led to long delays.
On this, an official of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) was quoted by PTI saying the issue was resolved at 9 am and the trains were regulated as per schedule on Line-6.

Earlier this year, following power failures and subsequent loss of contact of trains with the control centre, services were crippled on the Blue Line for two successive days. Trains had lost contact with the Operational Control Centre, considered the nerve-centre of the metro network, due to sudden power failures, following which the alternative mechanism of station-level handling was activated
