
New Delhi, Nov 28: A Delhi Police sub-inspector was arrested while taking bribe of Rs.50,000 from a person for not implicating him in a case here, a CBI official said. The sub-inspector posted at Chanakyapuri police station had demanded a bribe of Rs.4 lakh from the complainant for not implicating him in the case being investigated by the him, said the official of Central Bureau of Investigation.
CBI laid a trap and the Sub Inspector was caught red handed while accepting a bribe of Rs.50,000/- from the Complainant in the late evening of 27th November, 2014 near Gurudwara Moti Bagh, New Delhi. Searches were conducted at the residential premises of the said Sub Inspector.
The arrested accused is being produced today before the Special Judge, CBI cases, Patiala House Courts, New Delhi.
