Delhi Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Amid tight security, the stage is all set for Delhi Lok Sabha Election 2024 on May 25. And in the sixth phase of Lok Sabha Election, all seven parliamentary constituencies, including Chandni Chowk, North East Delhi, East Delhi, New Delhi, North West Delhi, West Delhi, and South Delhi will go on polls on Saturday. For the smooth conduct of the Lok Sabha polls, several restrictions, including a 48-hour ban on liquor sales, have been imposed. School and College Closed
Because of the heatwave conditions and the Lok Sabha elections, the Delhi government has directed all private schools in the city to announce summer vacation until 30 June.
Government Services Closed
For the smooth conduct of the Lok Sabha elections, non-essential government services will be closed in Delhi only for a day on 25 May.
Liquor Shops Closed
As per the Delhi government order, all liquor stores and other licensed premises in Delhi will remain shut from 6 PM on 23 May to 6 PM on 25 May. Moreover, there will be no liquor sale in National Capital on the day of the Lok Sabha election result announcement on 4 June.
Bank Holiday
All banks in the city will be closed on the polling day in Delhi on 25 May and also
all 700 markets in Delhi to remain closed on 25 May in view of the Lok Sabha elections.
Delhi Metro Will Function
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) said Delhi Metro services will remain functional on the day of voting in the national capital and added that the metro train services on all routes will start at 4 AM.
DTC Buses Will Run
The Delhi Transport Corporation said it will run additional bus services on 35 routes on May 25 from 4 AM. The Delhi Integrated Multi-Model Transit System Ltd. (DIMTS) said it will also run its bus services on 46 routes.
