New Delhi: The society is gripped with several social evils and crimes that are atrocious to say the least and despite several laws and strictness, still exist. In a shocking case of female infanticide, a Delhi man hatched a plan with his parents and murdered his newborn twins because him and his family were upset with the birth of daughters. The accused, Neeraj Solanki is on the run while his son, Vijender Solanki has already been arrested. The twin daughters, who were born in Rohtak, Haryana on May 30, were just a day old when they were murdered by their father while being taken home on June 1. A case of female infanticide has been registered by the police.
As mentioned earlier, in a horrific case, a man killed his twin daughters because they were girls and he and his family were unhappy. It was on May 30 that these two daughters were born and a day later, while taking them home with their mother, the father devised a plan with his family, to murder the infants. According to a senior police office as quoted in a Times Now report, “One June 1, after Pooja was discharged from the hospital, she decided to go to her parents’ house. However, Neeraj and his family reached the hospital, took the children from Pooja, and asked her to follow their car in another vehicle.”
Neeraj Solanki, the main accused changed his route midway and when his wife’s brother tried to contact him, he couldn’t reach him. It was only later did he come to know that Neeraj and his parents and hatched a plan, killed the baby girls and had also buried them in Sultanpuri area, where they used to live. It was the team of Delhi Police from a nearby crematorium.
Vijender Solanki, the father of Neeraj Solanki (father of the newborn girls) has been arrested by the police while the search for the other accused still continues. A case of female infanticide has been registered and an FIR under Sections 304, 315, 498A and 201 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been filed. A team has been formed to investigate Neeraj, his mother and his uncle, who are involved in the murder of both infants and according to the police, all three are currently absconding and a search for them is on so that they can be arrested.
