As mentioned earlier, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has issued an update on its page of social media platform ‘X’ (formerly known as Twitter), regarding delay in the Yellow Line Services. According to the social media post, yellow line services between Vishwavidyalay and Kashmere Gate. It has also said that services on all other lines is normal and that the delay will soon be fixed.

According to the latest updates by DMRC on their social media page, train services on Yellow Line (Millennium City Centre Gurugram to Samaypur Badli) are regulated today owing to a track circuit drop (signaling) issue between Vishwavidyalaya and Kashmere Gate station.

Due to this, trains are running at restricted speed in this small section resulting into bunching of trains. Normal train services are available on rest of the sections of Yellow Line. To avoid inconvenience to public in day time, the necessary repair of the track circuit will be undertaken during night hours after the closing of revenue Service.
While there is no official confirmation or information by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), under the Yellow Line Services post of the Delhi Metro, an ‘X’ user has commented informing that services are also down on one more route. According to the ‘X’ user Anand Prakash, metro services between Azadpur to Vishwavidyalay are down.

On account of International Women’s Day, which is celebrated worldwide on March 8, Delhi Metro has organised multiple competitions for women. DMRC hosted a live theme-based Art Work competition at select Metro stations including Hauz Khas, Rajiv Chowk, and Vishwavidhyalaya on Feb 29th, 2024. The theme was “Metro has empowered Women”. A five-day online quiz on ‘All things DMRC’ was held from Feb 26th to Mar 1st, 2024 and the response from women commuters was overwhelming.
For woman employees, DMRC organized an essay competition titled “Shattering the glass ceiling: rising participation of women in the workplace” along with a live art competition on the topic “Many roles of women” at Metro Bhawan and Shastri Park. An online experience sharing competition was also held, giving our female commuters a platform to share inspiring stories on “How Delhi Metro has empowered you as a woman ?” As part of International Womens Day celebrations, DMRC is organizing various competitions for its woman commuters and employees . The theme of this year’s Women’s Day is “Count her in: Invest in Women, Accelerate Progress”.
