Delhi Traffic Advisory Issued For Mrit Mahotsav Today: Check Timing, List of Routes To Avoid

Delhi Traffic Advisory: Traffic restrictions were imposed and ad advisory was issued in the national capital on Friday due to Mrit Mahotsav. Delhi Traffic Police said the restrictions will be in effect from 9 AM to 2 PM. During this time, traffic diversions and restrictions will be applied to the following areas.

Delhi Traffic Advisory: List of Routes to Avoid

  • Mehrauli-Badarpur Road from Lado Sarai to Khanpur
  • Entire Press Enclave Road
  • Lal Bahadur Shastri Marg from Court Chowk to Khanpur
  • Aurobindo Marg from PTS Malviya Nagar Junction to TB Hospital
  • Anuvrat Marg from TB Hospital to Andheria Mor
  • Internal Roads around DM Office

The Delhi Traffic Police asked the commuters to cooperate with the police by utilising public transportation, particularly Metro services, and avoiding these roads whenever feasible.

The Delhi police said the travel and trips should be planned ahead of time, and extra time should be allowed for possible traffic jams.

The traffic advisory has been issued to ensure minimal disruptions and efficient traffic flow during the Mrit Mahotsav celebration.

In another advisory, the Delhi Traffic Police said the commuters will not be able to access the Dhaula Kuan to Mayapuri section of the Naraina Flyover due to ongoing repair work. According to the Public Works Department (PWD), the repair’s start date has been moved from May 1 to May 2.

As per the updates, there will be a 20-day period of closure of the road and anther road, connecting Dhaula Kuan and Mayapuri, will stay open for the commuters.
