Delhi Traffic Advisory: The Delhi Police om Monday issued Delhi Traffic Advisory and urged the regular commuters to avoid certain routes as vehicular movements will remain affected due to the closure of roads on Monday. In the traffic advisory, the Delhi Police said certain roads will witness traffic disruptions between 4 PM and 8 PM due to special traffic arrangements today.

“Due to special traffic arrangements on 20.05.2024, movement of general traffic will be regulated on the following roads and junctions from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM,” the Delhi Traffic Police stated in the advisory shared on their X handle.

Delhi Traffic: List of Routes to be Affected

  • Mehrauli – Badarpur Road (from Khanpur To Karni Singh Shooting Rang
  • Entire Alaknanda Road/ Indermohan Bhardwaj Marg
  • Outer Ring Road (from Savitri Flyover to Chirag Delhi)
  • Ravidas Marg (from Hamdard to Tara T-Point)
  • Internal Roads around DDA Park Sangam Vihar

In the traffic advisory, the Delhi Police urged commuters to avoid personal vehicles and use public conveyance, especially Metro rail services, to avoid vehicular congestion on roads amid closures.

“Commuters are requested to cooperate by avoiding/bypassing the above-mentioned roads, if possible, and by making maximum use of public transport, especially Metro services. Further, the general public is advised to keep sufficient time at hand while planning road journeys via the above-mentioned roads and junctions,” the advisory further stated.

“General public and motorists are advised to keep patience, observe traffic discipline and follow directions of traffic personnel deployed at all intersect updated through,” it added.
