New Delhi: The Delhi Police has restricted traffic movement on Vishwavidyalaya Marg due to a bus being stuck on a sunken portion of the road, officials said on Thursday. The police said the Delhi Jal Board is carrying out work on the stretch and advised commuters to take alternative routes.
“Movement of traffic is closed on Vishwavidyalaya Marg in both the carriageways from Mall Road towards Hansraj College and vice-versa due to sunken road and stucking of a bus in it in view of work being carried out by DJB. Commuters are advised to take alternate routes to avoid inconvenience.”

In February, the Vishwavidyalaya Marg, spanning approximately 1.6 km from Mahatma Gandhi Marg to Hansraj College Petrol Pump was closed for a period of 15 days as the Delhi Jal Board Department is laying a 1400mm diameter MS pipeline along these roads.
Commuters traveling from Mall Road towards Hindu College were during these period advised to take the alternative route of Chhatra Marg – Sudhir Bose Marg – Vishwavidyalaya Marg and vice versa.
