Farmers’ Protest Today At Shambhu Border; Wrestler Vinesh Phogat To Join, Check Details

Farmers Protest: Farmers gathered in significant numbers at Delhi borders on Saturday as their protest completes 200 days today. The protesters gathered at Khanauri, Shambhu, and Ratanpura borders. Star wrestler and Olympian Vinesh Phogat joined the farmers at the border.

Farmers have been stationed at the Shambhu border since February 13, after authorities prevented their march to Delhi. The protesters are demanding a legal guarantee for the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for all crops, among other key issues. Phogat, a prominent sports personality and supporter of  the farmers’ movement, will be honoured by the farmers during the day’s events.

Notably, the agitating farmers have been stationed at the Shambhu border since February after police and forces stopped them to march to Delhi. These farmers staged massive protest over several demand, Minimum Support Price (MSP) for all crops as their primary demand.

Farmers Protest Today: Phogat To Be Honoured

The farmers are expected to express their gratitude to Phogat – a prominent figure in the sports world who also ardently supports the farmers’ cause.
According to Farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher the protest will be conducted peacefully with great intensity. He highlighted that the BJP-led Central Government is testing their resolve, mentioning that their demands have not been fulfilled.

Farmers are putting forward strong requests against Kangana Ranaut, a noted Bollywood actress and a Member of Parliament. They call upon the BJP for a strict response towards her contentious remarks that have stirred up conflict and drawn criticism from the agricultural community.
