A new ray of hope shines on Delhi residents as the city’s Mohalla bus service trial expands its horizons. The latest trial run now covers the Nand Nagri to Kalyanpuri route, making commuting more accessible for locals. This trial phase incorporates stops at eight significant locations en route, paving the way for the potential launch of regular bus services on this path. The Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) kickstarted the trial officially on September 9, with buses shuttling between Nand Nagri Terminal and Kalyanpuri Terminal, according to a report in delhibreakings.com.

This extended Mohalla bus service brings a host of benefits to passengers traveling to key areas such as GTB Hospital, Vivekananda Mahila College, ESIC Hospital, Guru Gobind Singh University, and Dr. Hedgewar Hospital. Moreover, it promises to streamline the commute for residents near IP Extension Metro Station and adjacent localities.

2. Vivek Vihar Police Station
3. MCD Office
4. Jagatpuri A-Block
5. Hasanpur Depot
6. Gurudwara Khichripur
7. Vinod Nagar
8. Kalyanpuri Terminal

Mohalla Bus Trials on Other Routes:

• Majlis Park to Burari
• Akshardham to Mayur Vihar Phase-3 via Mayur Vihar Phase-1 and Trilokpuri
• Kailash Colony Metro Station to PNB Geetanjali
• Lok Kalyan Marg Metro Station to Vasant Vihar

Meanwhile, the Delhi government’s initiative to commence regular bus services from the first week of September has hit a roadblock. Delays in acquiring the essential fleet of buses have forced a postponement in the full-fledged launch. As a result, commuters in the city will have to exercise patience as they await the commencement of regular operations.
