Maharashtra Election Results 2024: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has put up a superlative performance in the Maharashtra elections 2024. Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis spearheaded an aggressive campaign aimed at consolidating the BJP’s core vote bank, which many believe had drifted away from the party during the Lok Sabha elections. Now, an old video of the Maharashtra deputy chief minister is going viral on social media.

In the clip, recorded after the BJP’s underwhelming performance in the 2019 elections, Fadnavis is heard saying, “Mera paani utarta dekh mere kinare par ghar mat basa, main samandar hoon, lautkar vapas aaunga” (Don’t build a house on my shore after seeing my water receding. I am the ocean. I will come back). This prophetic statement now resonates with his comeback as the BJP’s leading face in the state.

Celebrations began at key locations, including the residence of Chief Minister and Shiv Sena chief Eknath Shinde, with party workers rejoicing in the alliance’s strong performance as the Mahayuti alliance seemed poised for a landslide victory in the 2024 Maharashtra Assembly elections.
