Iran-US-Israel war: In a big development amid the ongoing war in Middle East, Iran’s new supreme leader Mojtaba Khamenei has given a chilling warning to US and Israel stating that ‘every death will be avenged’. Mojtaba declared that they would never retreat and would continue seeking revenge for the attack on the school. Emphasizing that justice would be pursued not only for the late Supreme Leader but also for every citizen who lost their life in the attack, the new leader of Iran took a stern stance on Israel and the US. The new Supreme Leader warned that additional fronts could be opened if the war continues and vowed to target the enemy’s facilities. Meanwhile, Khamenei has not appeared publicly since being appointed to the country’s highest position following the death of his father, the late Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, in US-Israeli strikes.

“We are always willing to develop our great relationship with our neighbours, but some countires have used their bases and attacked from there”, Iran’s new supreme leader Mojtaba Khamenei said about avenging the deaths which took place due to Israel-US attacks in Iran.

“Iran only targets bases, and will continue to do so. Scholars have their own character. The responsibility on me is very big, and I ask power from the allah and you. Ali Khamenei had people involved in the policy of the country”, Mojtaba Khamenei added.

Mojtaba Khamenei named Iran’s Supreme Leader

In a significant global development, Iran named Mojtaba Khamenei as the new Supreme Leader, succeeding his father Ali Khamenei, in a move that signals the continued dominance of hardliners in Tehran even as the country remains locked in an escalating conflict with the United States and Israel.

As per global media reports, Mojtaba Khamenei is a mid-ranking cleric believed to wield significant influence within Iran’s security establishment. Apart from his leadership qualities, Khamenei enjoys vast economic networks built under his father’s leadership, had long been viewed as a leading contender for the position in Iran.

The decision was made by the Assembly of Experts, an 88-member body of clerics responsible for selecting the Supreme Leader after the death of Ali Khamenei.
