Saurabh’s body was found in an abandoned house which was 2 km away from his house in Surana. A case of murder has been registered against the two friends namely Manish and Titu. Saurabh’s relatives alleged that he was bleeding due to a gunshot injury and was discovered near a cooking gas company at around 11 am. Saurabh’s father, Naresh works as a driver for a private company in Gurgaon. Saurabh’s goal was to get into the Army after clearing his Class X tests. Naresh narrated “I had left for office in the morning. Around 11 am, Manish, called my younger son Sachin and told him Saurabh had been shot and needed to be taken away from the spot.” Naresh added, “Sachin rushed to the spot and found Saurabh lying under a tree bleeding profusely. Titu was not there on the spot. Sachin and Manish took Saurabh to a private hospital. Naresh reportedly said that Saurabh was very close to Manish and Titu. Even Saurabh’s relatives had ruled out any chance of enmity with his friends. Nevertheless, a First Information Report concerning the murder has been registered in Muradnagar police station.
Ghaziabad SP (Rural) Arvind Maurya stated, “The body has been sent for post-mortem. The boy died of a gunshot wound on his abdomen. Manish and Titu have not been able to give a satisfactory explanation on the circumstances under which Saurabh was shot. Both boys are unemployed.”
