New Delhi, Dec 15: A day after exit polls predicted landslide victory for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in both Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh Assembly Elections 2017, former Bihar Deputy CM took a dig at yesterday’s results and said that similar exit polls had predicted majority for BJP in 2015, during Bihar Assembly elections but were turned completely wrong.

Taking to Twitter on Friday, Yadav posted the exit poll results of Bihar Assembly elections 2015 and posted,”Remember Exit Poll predictions for Bihar Elections- 2015 : Today’s Chanakya: BJP-155, GA-83; NewsX/CNX: BJP- 95, GA -135 Times Now-CVoter: BJP-111, GA-122; Dainik Jagran: BJP-130 GA – 97;  ABP/ Nielsen: BJP-130 GA- 108; India Today-Cicero: BJP-120 GA- 117.” (Also Read: Exit Polls Predict Big Win for BJP, Rout For Congress But Pollsters Have Failed in The Past)

Earlier on Thursday, the exit polls showed that the lotus would bloom in both the states. Exit poll conducted by ABP News-CSDS Lokniti gave the incumbent BJP a maximum of 117 seats and Congress 64 in Gujarat. Similarly, News24-Today’s Chanakya gave BJP 135 seats in Gujarat and predicted 47 for the Congress. It predicted 55 seats for the BJP and 13 for the Congress in Himachal Pradesh.

The India Today-Axis poll predicted 99-113 seats in the 182-seat Gujarat Assembly for the BJP and 68-82 seats for the Congress. The survey gave BJP 47-55 seats and the Congress 13-20 in the 68-member Himachal Pradesh assembly.

The Times Now-VMR exit poll predicted the BJP to win 113 and the Congress 66 in Gujarat. It also predicted tally of 51 seats for the BJP in Himachal Pradesh. The Times Now-VMR poll gave 16 seats to the Congress and a seat to other contenders.

Polling for the 68-member Himachal Assembly took place in single phase on November 9 while of the total 182 assembly segments in Gujarat, 89 seats went to poll in the first phase on December 9 and the remaining 93 segments went on poll in the second phase on December 14. The results of 2017 Himachal Pradesh Assembly Elections and Gujarat Assembly Elections will be declared on December 18.
