New Delhi: India’s first Hyperloop project, set to revolutionize the country’s connectivity, is expected to be completed soon. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw reviewed the progress of this project in Chennai on Saturday. After completion, the distance between Bengaluru and Chennai can be covered in just 30 minutes. Hyperloop is a revolutionary, high-tech transport technology in which a capsule-like pod is propelled inside a low-pressure tube. Instead of using tracks, the pod is levitated in the air using magnetic force, known as magnetic levitation.

This system eliminates friction and air resistance, allowing the pod to reach speeds of over 1,000 kilometers per hour.

IIT Madras Eyeing a Major Breakthrough

It’s been months now that the IIT Madras has been researching this technology and has now developed a prototype. Reports suggest that the Modi government has extended its full support to this project. Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw stated that the project is currently in the experimental stage, but in the future, it has the potential to redefine transportation.

Major Announcement for the Electronics Industry

Ashwini Vaishaw also inaugurated the new manufacturing hub of Jetwork Electronics during this visit. Talking to the media, the minister said that the railway budget for Tamil Nadu has seen a massive increase over the past 10 years. Earlier, the budget was quite low, but now it has exceeded Rs 6,000 crore. Additionally, the minister emphasized that India’s electronics industry is growing rapidly and has now become the country’s second-largest export sector. He credited this achievement to the excellent planning and collaboration between the central and state governments.
