New Delhi, June 11: Sarvesh Mehtani from Chandigarh’s Panchkula is the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) JEE advanced 2017 topper, the results of which were announced on Sunday. Sarvesh wrote the exam from IIT Roorkee zone and scored 339 marks out of 366. As per reports, he scored 120 marks in Maths and 104 and 115 marks in Physics and Chemistry repectively. He was ranked 55th in JEE Main entrance examination.
Meanwhile, the second rank was bagged by Akshat Chugh of Pune. He was ranked 7th in JEE Main 2017. Suraj Yadav of Haryana’s Bhiwani district bagged the All India Rank of 5. A student of Vibrant Academy in Rajasthan’s Kota, Yadav, scored 330 marks out of 366.

IIT JEE Advanced is considered as one of the toughest examination for admissions in graduate level engineering courses in Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) and other centrally funded institutes. The JEE Advanced exam 2017 was conducted on May 21. The results of the same can be checked on the official website of JEE Advanced after entering the exam application number and date of birth of the candidates.
The IIT-JEE Advanced exam 2017 was taken up by 1.7 lakh aspirants. Noteworthy, based on JEE Main 2017 rankings, about 2.20 lakh top scorers given chance to appear in JEE Advanced 2017. The IIT JEE Main exam 2017 was given by 10.20 lakh students this year.
