1. Sanjay Dutt released from Pune’s Yerwada Central Jail
Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt has been released from Pune’s Yerwada Central Jail on Thursday morning. Dutt served 42 months in jail after he was convicted in the 1993 Mumbai serial bomb blast case. Dutt was released even after a PIL was filed by social activist Pradeep Bhalekar to cancel the government’s decision in granting him remission. Read more on this story here
2. Railway Budget 2016: Suresh Prabhu to announce new premium trains to bring back elite customers
Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu is most likely to announce a set of premium trains while presenting the rail budget for year 2016-17. These top-class trains with enhanced coaches are targeted to bring back the elite customers who now choose to travel in low-end airlines citing poor quality service provided by the Railways. The starlet was sentenced for buying firearms from bombers, which he mentioned was to ensure the safety of his family during the 1993 Hindu-Muslim riots.
