Telangana, Oct 2: A 15-year-old boy in Karimnagar district, Telangana committed suicide after allegedly being punished in school for not paying fees. He also left a video suicide message note behind describing the punishment that made him take the hard step. After leaving behind the suicide message, the boy jumped in front of a train in Peddapalli area in Telangana.
Earlier the same day, the boy was allegedly asked to stand outside the classroom as a punishment along with six other students for not paying fees. After which, the boy came home and borrowed a mobile phone from a friend and shoot his suicide message. Father of the deceased child is a farmer and had paid Rs 5000 and could not afford to pay rest of the money. Before leaving house to end his life, the boy also left a written noted near the TV asking his family members to check the video message he had left behind. The incident came to notice after the parents filed a missing person’s complaint in a nearby police station.Following which a case of abetment was registered against the management of the school.
There has been a rise in teenager suicide rates recently. Most of them are reportedly due to increasing study pressure. Recently coaching classes in Kota had come together to create a helpline number for the help distressed students. Last month a 14-year-old boy from Delhi committed suicide leave over family issues.
