New Delhi: Due to low visibility caused by fog, at least 17 trains of the Northern Railway are running late on Monday, stated news agency ANI. Meanwhile, the minimum temperature in the national capital region was recorded at 8.4 degrees Celsius on Sunday, a notch below the season’s average, while the overall levels of air pollutants were in the ‘moderate’ zone, the weather office said.

Heavy rains and hailstorm accompanied by strong winds lashed the national capital on February 7 and brought the mercury down by four to five notches. Reportedly, the month of February is likely to record more rain in comparison to January.

In the month of January, Delhi experienced a prolonged spell of cold wave conditions with the lowest minimum in January recorded at 4°C January 1, 2019. As on January 31, the average minimum temperature for Delhi is at 6.9°C which is 0.7°C below the normal and it is quite phenomenal.
