New Delhi:  Two Bengaluru bound flights were diverted to Chennai due to dense fog, news agency ANI reported on Sunday. Due to weather conditions around 50 flights scheduled between 6 am-9, am were also delayed.

As reported, several other airlines have requested passengers to check their flight status. Indigo airline tweeted, “Due to poor visibility at #Bengaluru airport, flight departures and arrivals are affected. Do check your flight status before you leave for the airport. For flight status, visit http://www.goindigo.in.”

Spicejet tweeted, “Due to bad weather at Bengaluru (BLR), Srinagar (SXR) and Dharamshala (DHM) all departures/arrivals and their consequential flights might get affected. The passengers are requested to keep a check on their flight status via http://spicejet.com.”

Earlier on January 4, nearly 200 flights were delayed at Indira Gandhi International airport due to dense fog in the national capital.

On January 3, all departures at national capital’s Indira Gandhi International Airport were put on a hold owing to bad weather. Three flights were diverted from the airport due to bad weather/fog conditions.
