New Delhi: Sidelined Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Shivpal Yadav on Friday announced that his newly formed Samajwadi Secular Front will contest on all the 80 Lok Sabha seats in the upcoming 2019 elections. “In the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the morcha will contest on all the 80 seats,” Yadav reportedly said, while speaking to reporters in Darkawda village.

He asserted that the main aim of forming the ‘morcha’ is to change the fortune of Uttar Pradesh.”Our main aim is to change the fortune of the state. That is why people and parties with similar mentality will come together under this umbrella,” News 18 quoted Yadav as saying.

Furthermore he said,“I have constituted the Samajwadi Secular Morcha for national integration. The dissenting leaders of the Samajwadi Party and those who have been insulted will further strengthen the forum,”

Yadav also claimed that the Samajwadi Secular Front will emerge as a strong party in the 2022 assembly polls.

On being asked if he had differences with the Samajwadi Party or Akhilesh Yadav, Shivpal  said, “I am fighting for all those who are being ignored in the party and have been insulted.”

Earlier on Thursday, while reacting over the formation of Samajwadi Secular Morcha, former UP CM and SP Supremo Akhilesh Yadav had said,”I am upset myself, where should I go?”

Notably, Shivpal Yadav floated the new outfit after complaining that he has been ignored in the party since Akhilesh Yadav took charge as its president.
