The National Investigation Agency is already probing the case related with IS inspired youth Saifullah killed in an encounter with Uttar Pradesh anti-terror squad.

Earlier on March 8, three terrorists holed up inside a house in the outskirts of Lucknow at Thakurganj locality under Kakori police station. Saifullah was killed by commandos in a house on the outskirts of Lucknow following a 12-hour long anti-terror operation.

The police recovered eight pistols, three passports, more than 600 cartridges, bomb-making instruments, timers, wires, compass etc.

However Union Minister Hansraj Ahir had said it was too early to know which terrorist outfit slain terror suspect Saifullah belonged to, amid suspicion that he was influenced by an ISIS module. Saifullah, who was suspected to be linked with the blast in the Bhopal-Ujjain train, was killed in an encounter in Uttar Pradesh.

“We have asked for the report. We have not received the final report and full information has not yet come. What can be said from the documents and other material is that he was a terrorist.

“We will get to know who he was linked with after we get the final report,” Ahir, who is Minister of State for Home Affairs, told reporters outside Parliament.
