Mumbai, April 30: In a major accident, at least five people were killed and three others were injured after a truck and an Omni van collided on the Panvel Highway. As per reports, it was the poor visibility that led to the accident. The injured are said to be in a critical state and have been admitted to the MGM Hospital in Navi Mumbai for treatment. Earlier in April, there were two separate accidents on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway which claimed two people’s lives and left five others injured. In the first accident, a TCS employee from Thane, named Akshay Wasnik was killed after his car rammed into the divider. While in the second incident, Ram Dhavre, an Andheri resident, passed away after a tempo rammed into his car on the Panvel Highway . In yet another incident, at least twelve people got severely injured after their private luxury bus in which they were travelling, overturned on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway. Reportedly, the vehicle overturned after the driver applied the brakes suddenly which in turn caused the bus to skid.
