New Delhi, April 1: An ex-Navy officer lost his life after a massive fire broke out at his flat in Hyderabad’s Gudimalkapur area on Sunday.  The deceased ex-Navy officer has been identified as Mallikarjun Rao. He was 75-year-old.

Speaking to news agency ANI, fire officials informed that they received a call that a fire had broken out in a flat in the Vijaysree apartment in Gudimalkapur area.

The fire tender from Langer house fire station reached the spot and doused the fire, the officials added.

However, an investigation has been launched by the Asif Nagar police. More details in the incident awaited.
