7th Pay Commission Latest Update: Good News Related to Salary Hike For Government Employees of This State

7th Pay Commission Latest News: In a welcome move, the government of a state has reportedly announced the implementation of recommendations of 7th Pay Commission or 7th CPC for the employees of transport department. The decision comes at a time when numerous Central Government employees are waiting for a hike in minimum pay and fitment factor beyond the 7th Central Pay Commission.
As per a report, the Uttar Pradesh government has decided to hike the salaries of state transport department employees based on the 7th Pay Commission recommendations. Besides, the government has also decided to hike the permit fee of the commercial vehicles. The decision of implementing 7th CPC recommendations for state transport department employees was taken at a Cabinet meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, on Tuesday.
Briefing mediapersons about the government’s decision, spokespersons Sidharthnath Singh and Srikant Sharma said that the UP State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) employees would also be covered under Seventh Pay Commission.

The new pay scale would be implemented from April 2018. Meanwhile, the government is yet to decide on the arrears applicable from January 1, 2016.
On the other hand, reports suggest that Prime Minister Narendra Modi in all likelihood announce the hike in minimum pay and fitment factor beyond the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission on August 15 for lakhs of Central government employees.
Earlier in March, Minister of State in Finance, P Radhakrishnan dashed the hope of 48 lakh employees who have been demanding higher minimum pay. He informed Rajya Sabha that it was not considering hiking minimum pay and fitment factor beyond the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission.
