Speaking to Zeebiz.com Lucknow University Associated College Teachers Association (LUACTA) president Manoj Pandey said that the implementation of the 7th pay commission will increase the salaries by about Rs 40,000 at professor level while those at the lower level will get a hike up to Rs 7,000. Furthermore he stated that the University Grant Commission (UGC) last year had issued a notice to increase the salary of university teachers and employees. But several states had refused to obey the order. But now following Centre’s decision, it will be implemented across the country.
This move will directly benefit a total of 29,264 teachers and other academic staff of state government funded institutes.
