New Delhi, June 11: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday criticised the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for its protest over an alleged assault on its councilor Rakesh Kumar, alleging that the Kejriwal Government is involved in a political conspiracy in the name of Dalits.

BJP leader Vijendra Gupta said, “They are politically conspiring in the name of Dalits. It is extremely appalling. Kejriwal cannot stoop down any lower.”

“For the one and a half years, theKejriwal Government has done absolutely nothing for the Dalits. They have not launched a single Dalit welfare scheme, and even the Dalit Welfare funds haven’t been used for their welfare,” he told ANI.(ALSO READ:Kumar Vishwas to join BJP? Accusing the Delhi government of shedding crocodile tears for the Dalits, Gupta dubbed the action as ‘petty politics’.

“They hold back the salaries of the sanitation workers, leaving their hearths cold and on the other side, they are engaging into petty politics,” he added.

The AAP had yesterday approached the National Commission for Scheduled Castes, demanding strict action under the provisions of the SC/ST Act against those who assaulted their councillor.
