AAP leader Sanjay Singh, two others, resign from their posts after MCD drubbing

A day after the Aam Aadmi Party's (AAP) drubbing in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) elections, a series of resignations has begun within the party.

New Delhi, April 27: A day after the Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) drubbing in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) elections, a series of resignations has begun within the party. On Thursday, AAP Punjab incharge Sanjay Singh has offered to resign from his post while AAP Delhi campaign incharge Ashish Talwar also offered to quit his post. AAP Punjab co-observer Durgesh Pathak has also offered to resign from his post.

Soon after offering to resign, Singh tweeted, “I have sent my resignation from the post of AAP Punjab incharge to Arvind Kejriwal.” Pathak also tweeted, “I have resigned from the post of co-observer of Punjab from AAP. I ll continue as a volunteer within the organisation for a better India.”

Earlier on Wednesday, as the results of the MCD elections came out, AAP MLA Alka Lamba also took responsibility and offered to resign as MLA.
