New Delhi, Feb 21: Delhi police on Wednesday arrested Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Amanatullah Khan in the assault case of Delhi chief secretary Anshu Prakash. He will be produced in court later. After Khan surrendered at Jamia police station, the police detained and questioned him before taking him into custody. The MLA told the media before surrendering that he had done nothing wrong , and the entire episode was BJP’s conspiracy. The police was searching for Khan in the alleged assault case of Delhi chief secretary, Anshu Prakash. Amanatullah Khan said that the CS was acting at the behest of the BJP. He alleged that Prakash was creating an environment to destabilise the AAP government in Delhi. Khan refuted the allegations of the chief secretary. He said no evidence has come up against AAP MLAs. He alleged that a minister and his adviser were assaulted, but no action was taken against the assailants.

Police had arrested MLA Prakash Jarwal on Tuesday in the assault case. Amanatullah Khan was the prime accused in the case.

Meanwhile, the AAP claimed on Wednesday that they were being victimised. AAP leader Sanjay Singh said that the Central government had not been letting the government function properly. He further said that the party MLAs and leaders were being hounded ever since AAP formed government in Delhi.

He further said that the MLAs had gone there to ensure that people get subsidised grain even without Aadhaar cards. There were heated exchanges, but the chief secretary was not assaulted.
