After Saudi employer beat up Kerala youth; Sushma Swaraj takes measure to bring them back
Three Kerala youth in Saudi Arabia will be send back to their native land, after their employer in Saudi trashed them. Byju (26), Abhilash (21) and Vimal Kumar (30) went to Saudi Arabia through an agent who promised them great job offer.

Byju (26), Abhilash (21) and Vimal Kumar (30) went to Saudi Arabia through an agent who promised them great job offer. However, this video shows their employer, a Arabi beating the employees with a wooden log. While the men were being beat up, one of them recorded the scene and sent it to one of their family members.
After India Today aired the video, External Affairs Ministry took up the issue and has promised to get in touch with the Indian workers and bring the employees back safely. External Affair Minister, Sushma Swaraj took to Twitter and tweeted, “We reported this to Saudi Police. We are in touch with Indian workers. Although they tried to contact their employees several times, they could not get through him. The trio reportedly fled the spot and sent the video of their employer asking to rescue them. Kerala police have registered a case against the agency which sent the men to Saudi. The complaint has also been forwarded to NORKA, a department of Government of Kerala that addresses the grievances of non-resident Keralites.
Chief Minister Oommen Chandy also spoke on the incident. He said, “We got the complaints about the three persons from Kerala. They were in a very bad situation. They were tortured by some people. We have contacted the consulate general. Some Malayali associations have also intervened to send them back to Kerala. They will reach here in two days.”
