Agartala, Ramnagar, Town Bordowali, Banamalipur, Majlishpur Assembly Election 2018: Winners of Tripura Vidhan Sabha Constituencies

The BJP, who fought the assembly elections in alliance with Indigenous People's Front of Tripura (IPFT), is likely to pick state president Biplab Kumar Deb as the chief minister of the northeastern state.

New Delhi, March 3: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is on course of winning a spectacular majority in Left’s stronghold Tripura. While the saffron party looks set to win 41 seats, the CPI-M suffered huge loss as it could manage just 18 seats as final results of Assembly election 2018 were announced on Saturday (March 3).  The BJP, who fought the assembly elections in alliance with Indigenous People’s Front of Tripura (IPFT), is likely to pick state president Biplab Kumar Deb as the chief minister of the northeastern state.

While Deb won the election from Banamalipur, outgoing CM Manik Sarkar, who has been heading the Left Front government for the last 20 years, won the election from Dhanpur constituency.

Agartala Assembly Constituency: From capital Agartala, BJP’s Sudip Roy Barman has won the election defeating CPI-M’s Krishna Majumder.

In Ramnagar Assembly constituency of Tripura, BJP’s Surajit Datta defeated CPI-M’s Ratan Das.
