According to a press release by the meteorological department, Deesa recorded 45.8 while Surendranagar 45.3 and Gandhinagar registered a maximum temperature of 45 degree Celsius.
Gandhinagar, May 28: Gujarat continued to reel under intense heat wave on Sunday with the maximum temperature touching 44 degrees Celsius in Ahmedabad. While temperature soared to 44.8 degrees in Ahmedabad, Kandla Airport recorded the highest maximum temperature, where mercury touched 46.3 degree Celsius.
According to a press release by the meteorological department, Deesa recorded 45.8 while Surendranagar 45.3 and Gandhinagar registered a maximum temperature of 45 degree Celsius. It also stated that the heat wave condition is very likely to prevail in parts of Gujarat region and Saurashtra-Kutch for the next two days.

The maximum temperature on Sunday recorded was three degree above the normal. The minimum temperature was recorded one degree above the normal and mercury reached 29.1 degree Celsius mark at night.
