New Delhi, Mar 23: An Air India crew supervisor on Thursday slapped one of the junior crew members for serving a non-vegetarian meal to one of the business class passengers instead of a vegetarian food, according to the airline officials. An internal probe has been ordered by the carrier’s inflight service department. The incident, according to the reports, took place on March 17. The crew member served a non-vegetarian dish to the passenger on board a Frankfurt-bound flight from New Delhi instead of a vegetarian dish. The passenger did point it out to the crew supervisor but did not file any complaint. Sources said that the crew member later apologised to the passenger and replaced his meal. The junior attendant filed a complaint with the Air India’s inflight service department. “We have received a complaint from the cabin crew of the flight AI 121 ( New Delhi-Frankfurt). An internal inquiry has been set up to investigate the allegations in the complaint,” spokesperson of Air India was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times.
