Constituency-wise Karnataka Election Results 2018: Counting of votes for Aland, Basavakalyan, Homnabad, Bidar South and Bidar election results will be held today. Aland, Basavakalyan, Homnabad, Bidar South and Bidar Vidhan Sabah seats went to polls, along with other 217 seats of Karnataka Assembly, on May 12. Karnataka election 2018 saw a triangular contest between the ruling Congress, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) And Janata Dal-Secular. In Aland Assembly seat, incumbent MLA B R Patil quit his Karnataka Janata Party, which has now merged with the BJP, and contested as a Congress candidate against BJP’s Guttedar Subhash Rukmayya and Suryakant K Koralli of the JD-S. JD-S legislator Mallikarjun Khuba contested as a BJP candidate in Basavakalyan Vidhan Sabha seat against B Narayanrao of the Congress and JDS’s P G R Sindhia. Deepak Malgar of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is also in the fray.

Homnabad Assembly seat witnessed an electoral contest between Congress’s MLA Rajashekhar Basavaraj Patil of the Congress and BJP’s Subhash. The JD-S fielded M Naseemoddin Patel from the constituency. In Bidar South, Dr Shailendra Beldale of the BJP contested against Congress’s Ashok Kheny. Bandeppa fought the election as a JD-S candidate. Incumbent Congress MLA from Bidar Rahim Khan is seeking reelection. Khan faced BJP’s Surayakanth Nagmarpalli and M Muniyappa of the BSP.
